Today is the first official day of summer. Growing up in Arizona this wasn't necessarily a day to celebrate. Most of my childhood summer memories include trips to movie theaters, malls, swimming pools, and being sprawled out in the living room sucking on otter pops and watching Nickelodeon. Now, living outside of Arizona, I totally understand the appeal of picnics and BBQs and day hikes and bike rides and trips to the lake and sunbathing... Ah! I LOVE summer!
Plus... today being the 21st, and my due date being the 21st... I've got three more months before I get to meet this little boy. Three months seems like forever and nothing at the same time.

Ug , I totally know what you mean, summer is an indoor sport in Arizona. Went in the pool at my dad's house for fathers day and the water was super warm.. and guess what? His pool doesn't have a heater. Yeah!! It amazes me every year.
"Seems like forever and nothing at the same time" - SO true!! At 6 months, I felt like it was SO far away, but now here I am with a newborn! Time's a crazy thing.
And yeah, I appreciate summer TRIPS, so I can actually enjoy it! ;)
i love summer. love, love, love.
I loooooove summer. But I also don't live in Arizona. Yet.
But yay for entering the third trimester...the home stretch seems long and miserable, but once you have baby, you're amazed at how quick-like it went!
I love summer.... I do miss the perfect 65 degree weather in AK, but 90 in a pool is pretty great too.
