seriously, i'm starting to lose it.

And by "it" I mean enough brain power to properly function.
Yesterday I wrote a confession, but it was only 2 minutes ago I realized that I never hit "publish." Oops.
It was about cheese, in case you're wondering.
On Monday I spent about $12 on this special fake cheese I love, and mid-morning on Tuesday I found it sitting out on the counter, which makes it a little too risky to eat, which means I'm out $12 and cheese.
Today -at a different store- -one where laundry detergent isn't $14- I totally ran into a woman with my cart. Bumped her right in the butt. Luckily, she was very nice about it, but it's just further proof that running on about 2 hours of sleep just doesn't work well for me.
And the thing is... that 2 hours thing is only about 25% pregnancy related.
I've had this cold for 2 weeks now.
I've personally gone through 6 boxes of kleenex & counting.
It's incredibly difficult to sleep when you can't breathe.
This morning I had a full out meltdown.
I sobbed for at least 30 minutes.
Hubby gave me a blessing before he left for work. For both our sakes I think.
Part of the blessing said that my current trials are preparing me for motherhood.
That made me laugh a little.
Part of being a mom is functioning under extreme exhaustion.
And since that is the case, I welcome it.
Just don't expect too much of me.

If any Mom reading this is expecting you to post a lot right before/after having a baby, she's crazy! I'm sure you've heard it before, but I'll say it again - sleep when he sleeps!! You don't get that luxury after the first baby, because you have other little mischief-makers under foot! :)

That WAS a great blessing! And being pregnant, especially with your 1st, is the EASY part!!! Just wait till the baby comes, lol!! They are such miracles though.

You really need to give yourself a break. It takes a lot of energy to produce another human being. ;) Brain energy too.

If it's any consolation, today I ran into an 80 year old man with my grocery cart...it was one of those carts with the car that kids sit in. I didn't even realize I hit him til he stopped, turned around and said "are you in a hurry??? you're running over my toes." I almost replied "YES! Go faster!" Part of me still wishes I had. :)

You have a wonderful husband.
And a wonderful Father.
Hang in there. The best is yet to come! :-)
