it happened, it happened, it finally happened! (kind of)

More than one mom has told me that there comes a day when you wake up at 7 am, realizing that you hadn't been up that night, and so naturally you conclude that your baby must have died, so you rush to the crib, only to find them sleeping peacefully. Then with a song & prayer of gratitude in your heart, you do a happy dance. (They didn't tell me about the song & prayer & happy dance, it's the obvious conclusion.)

I've been waiting and waiting for this magical day to happen to me. Pretty much, I've given up on it. However, I'll take what happened this morning!

I woke this morning, to discover there was a crick in my neck. I'm never asleep long enough to get cricks in my neck, and so I checked the clock. Seven. Magical, beautiful, heavenly, sevenly!! That means, I just got [did a little calculating] at least 5 solid hours, maybe 5 1/2. I've been waiting for this day! Then I thought: Oh, maybe he did die. So I got out of bed just to make sure. There he was, my sweet babe, sleeping soundly. A (mental of course) song & prayer & happy dance followed.

Now, let's all hope in our hearts that this is the new norm. K?

(P.S. Don't forget to enter the giveaway below! $30 at eShakti might not buy a dress, but it would buy a pretty cool necklace or pair of earrings! )

That is so exciting. I hope that is the norm for you:) We had to try and fatten Abbie up, so she was 10 months old and still waking up 2-5 times EVERY night. I finally said no more. She ended up gaining more weight and I ended up getting a full night's sleep every night by stopping all of the night feedings:)

I love the 'naturally conclude' part. Oh the memories. The absolute terror that races through you only to be replaced with pure joy.

That's motherhood for you.

Congratulations!
