the cry it out method

I've always been a believer in this.
I still am actually,
only I find its {basically} impossible for me to do.
Last night was one long battle of the Wills
(pun intended.)
He won.
He kicked my butt actually.
And this morning?
He woke up all smiles,
ready to play.
I wish I could say the same for myself.
Today is going to be one long day.
Personally, I'm predicting at least two
total meltdowns.
Maybe one for each of us,
probably both for me.

So happy to be out of the "toddler" stage.. Not too sure how I'm liking the "teenager" stage... At least we like the same movies... lol

I knew from the beginning that I wasn't strong enough to let my kids cry it out. I'm sure I've been sleep-deprived for the past 7+ years because of it, but I just can't handle hearing a baby cry! I guess a lot of moms go to the other end of the house, so they don't hear it? I don't know... Maybe that would work?

Heather, it was so good to talk to you. So sorry little Will is battling with all his might. Just remind yourself when he is crying that you will have to face the battle sometime whether it be now or later. You guys are in our prayers daily.

It gets easier! But it's so hard. :o( I think I'm a pro sleep trainer now though. I am always so nervous about it, but baby #3 was a piece of cake. She never really had to cry it out. We learned to read each other. I love the book, "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child". I read it with baby #1, and it changed my life. The first one was hard, and then it got easier after that. #3's never cried for more than 5-10 minutes, and that's only happened like once. Maybe twice. Good luck!
