feeling so blessed

Lately I've been feeling so very blessed.

A couple nights ago, after eating his spaghetti The Little Pirate was covered -head to toe- in sauce. I took him straight to the tub, where he left two perfect little spaghetti sauce handprints on the side of the tub. I honestly couldn't bring myself to wash them off. I know it might seem crazy, but little things like spaghetti sauce hand prints, marvel me. I get to be a mother. I get to take care of this sweet little boy who makes me laugh every single day.

Last night while Hubby was bathing him, I was cleaning up dinner and the kitchen. Hubby was doing a dialogue with the bath toys: "And here is Pink Hippo preparing for his first ever professional dive! And there he goes, off the board, a triple-lutz -not bad! The judges should score him well for that one!... Now we have Brown Duck-Dog. Brown Duck-Dog comes to us all the way from China! He is the two time World Class Champion diver. We expect great things from this guy... He dives... and... Oh no!! He missed!! He missed the water! Rescue crews are on their way!.[ambulance noises] ..."

I get to be a mother to an amazing little boy, and I get to be the wife of an amazing husband and father.
See what I mean? So very blessed.

Plus...

Yesterday, while I was skipping Sunday School to wander the halls with this little one, I bumped into my Doula. I love this woman. When I first moved to Colorado she took me under her wing. She brought a bit of spring to my winter. Then, she was right beside me through 20+ hours of labor, she was one of the first to greet my babe to this world. She put my hand in his before he was even fully out. And... I get have to lunch with her today.

So very blessed.
