mirrror, mirror on the wall...

I've been doing some introspections lately.

This introspecting has been prompted by a number of

small, seemingly insignificant events

strung together on the chain of life.

Events, that when propped up,

and given center stage in my thoughts,

serve as mirrors.

Mirrors that when I look into

show me, in a gentle way,

things I need to work on.

Places where I need to become better,

more kind, more generous, more loving.

Less selfish.

Less self-serving.

Less self-centered.

Today I will begin again

in trying to live a more Christ-like life.
