tuesday confessional

I've joined a Bible Study group with my neighbor. She's the one who flat out called Mormonism a cult when we first met & she found out I was a Mormon. I'm glad she overlooked my religion & was willing to become friends with me anyway because it's nice having a friend next door. She also has a two year old & we walk in the mornings. Anyway, she invited me to join the group & I'm glad I did. It's been fun. They have a caretaker for the kiddos & I get a couple hours once a week with the Bible. (Well, actually more like everyday since there's homework that I do.) It's win-win.

It's also been pretty enlightening in seeing things from the protestant point-of-view -enlightening in that I now understand the doctrinal differences just a bit better than I did before. And, now more than I ever have been before, I am so thankful to be a Mormon.

That's all.

Peace people.

It IS a win win....
you get to learn from them, they get to learn from YOU
it's beautiful thing.

You are setting an example to them of how willing Mormon's are to study with non-mormons. Too many times we are all lumped into one group that we think our ways are the only ways. And they are teaching you differnt ways of learning about the Bible.

It is funny that you blog about this..because there are times when I wish we had a study groups for the book of Mormon...besides during Sunday school. Which I miss because I teach primary. I miss that interaction and discussion of the scriptures.

Glad you are enjoying it.
